The first concept:
We get used to the background and accept it as it was, likely a standard for a long time. It means paintings must have background. It is almost the depth of painting. In fact, this is unreal deepness on the surface of the painting. It’s a third direction of space. No paintings have no background because it seems to be a depth.
So, the composition of painting is often set following the widthwise while lengthwise is aimitated depth through background. Example, a girl is standing alone on the painting, it is certainly that behind or around her must be a background. This is an imitated space, an imitated depth by color. In case, a girl standing with some of flower vases is that lay-outfollowing a widthwise will create a lengthwise or a depth of painting. It’s called a composition of painting. In the layout, the front standing girl is bigger and lighter, the rear standing flowers is smaller and dimmer, or conversely. By front standing and real standing have created a space of paintings and it’s just the matter which we call a imitated depth of painting. It’s a third direction of space.
The second concept:
As a result, we are copying a real space on the plane surface. This is helping an artist to be creative easily and make several kind of spaces , several kind of feeling, and then imposes on the sense of the viewer. Viewer has been attracted by the beauty of style, the beauty of space and be imposed by the artist’s emotion through their work. It’s not a true emotion of the viewer when they feel about it. Feeling of the viewer when they are standing in the beach is different completely with when they see a picture that drawing the sea. Feeling in front of the sea is the true sense. They might be standing in the beach but they are thinking about their family, their children, or their memory….not thinking of the sea, but it is their true sense by themselves. While standing in front of picture, their feeling of the sea is imposed by the feeling of artist sometimes.
The third concept:
Just imitating the real live space on the painting make space of painting will be moved from the surface of canvas turn the back, and front of picture is nothing. It is not completely relation to anything around. It means outside of the perimeter of the frame is not a painting and not almost relate to environment where it is hung. Painting was established from the frame turn back to inside and completely not to be out in the direction. Therefore, painting is completely independent of environment. It has no the combined properties with environment and anything around. it’s nearly the frame helped the painting to be separated from environment for existing independently and to protect these inside imposed feelings.
It may call: the close space.
The fourth concept:
Therefore, how to draw a painting without using background, it might have a lot of ways, but my way is that pushing a space to front, not back to behind. Then, surface of painting will almost be a furthest layer. We feel that painting looks like hanging in the air. That is the reason why the viewer feel a space of my painting as in front. A private atmosphere looks like covering all of painting and spreading out and reaching to the viewer. The space, which is felt by the viewer, spreads out of circle of painting and hardly to recognize its limit from where to where.
This means I am using a real space, not a copy space, that we can breathe, seeing, and transparency. It’s existing in front of us. I have changed it into a part of painting. Our transparency air seems to be concretized and to be touched in front of painting.
The fifth concept:
It just makes up the space in front of painting, consequently, its association is very high. Moreover, by using the real space, the painting can unite with all objects in front. A viewer who is standing in front of painting can be a piece of painting. All space in front can able to participate in painting because it always establishes an interaction between painting and all things around. So, we feel that painting unites closely with environment around, not separates from it. Example, my painting is hung on the wall inside the house. It seems united with the glass, flower vase, some books on the table and event a table in front. It seems united with the fridge beside although all these things have no the same topic with painting. Tomorrow, if we change everything, this association still continues to other objects in front and beside. We always feel that it always exists a private atmosphere layer covering from the painting to everything in front and it almost open widely and furthest possibly.
It may call: the open space.
Furthermore, because using a real space is a space of painting, so a real lighting of environment also becomes the lighting of painting. My paintings take real lighting, not copy lighting, and consequently lighting becomes a material as a color. It can be hold, touched, and especially I also have to make tone of lighting and its style like a color.
The sixth concept:
Due to all of these reasons, it has been making my paintings a true life, not imitation one. It looks like a close friend with sharing and next to human. It seems a computer with sadness, happiness along with human. Viewers nearly breathe an atmospheric layer that the painting has made, live in it, but not to get a standing with a negative looking and to be imposed.
Each position of viewer is the different angles, different emotion when they stand in front of painting. Viewers breathe this atmosphere and think of their life, right their matter, but not almost think about anything I draw. Images that showing on my painting is only a pretext, a data to simulate viewer’s imagination and makes them to be moved with that imagination through their life experience.
They may think about a flower vase of two years ago. They may think about a forest of flower that they saw on film yesterday. It may also be a leaf in the next house, but not only see a flower vase I drew on my paintings. This mean, viewer will see their true life thanks to images that I offer. Of course, all of them impress the viewer.
The seventh concept
As a result, it is very necessary to stand in front of my painting to see a real atmosphere.
As paintings are very unities by themselves and event environment, so we can create a painting with multi space, multi plane, multi direction but not lose harmony and interaction.
